Wow,
Wow, Wow! It is so much fun to own this future King! We were
just surfing the Internet in January 2005 when we stumbled
across the listing for Silver Celebration, at that moment we
new that Silver had to join our team here at Hilltop. We
have quietly been assembling a group of elite animals on our
farm and we thought Silver was the next piece in the puzzle.
We were so excited that Jeff and Beth
Kressin of Alpacas of Ohio agreed to sell us ½
interest in this elite animal and
allowed us to come along for the ride.
What a
ride it has been, he has been judged by the best in the
world, Amanda VandenBosch, Julio
Sumar, Jude Anderson, Mike
Safely and
Tim
Lavan.
Mike Safley and Julio
Sumar made it a point to say in
their orals that Silver has the best grey fleece they had
seen in Country. Cameron Holt chose to show the Audience at
the 2005 National Fleece Show Orals Silver’s fleece first
and really raved about it for sometime. In his first show
season Silver racked up 4 Color Championships, at the
largest and most prestigious shows in the nation. MAPACA,
The Futurity,
Kentucky
Classic and the National Fleece Show.
All the hulabalu is
justified, mind boggling density,
elite crimp, blinding luster and 17.5 micron softness at 1
year old. He has the most complete fleece we have ever seen
on any animal regardless of color. As far as confirmation
goes he is huge boned, has super balance, perfect bite and
totally straight lines. We know with all of the adjectives
flying around you must think that we are exaggerating but
when you lay your eyes and your hands on this dude you will
see why we are so excited to own a part of him.
He gets all this quality from his amazing parents, Grey
Herdsire Extraordinaire, Shaquille
owned by Magical Farms and Fleecey
Dale Farm Alpacas is his illustrious Sire. And his Dam is a
black Silvino daughter owned by
Alpacas of Ohio. This was her first cria but she has put
herself on the map with this one.
We will
determine Silver’s breeding fee after the Fall Show season
of 2005 but feel free to contact either farm to get a space
on his dance card for anytime after
Spring of 2006, when he is ready to start his
breeding career.
