Confirmation and fiber, Advocate is what you call the total package. His Dam, Peruvian Jewel and his Sire, Accoyo Pluro’s RR Dreamer are 2 of the most gorgeous alpacas we own. Looks aren’t everything though, they also possess the elite characteristics that we look for in a Hilltop Alpaca Production animal. The two parents certainly weren’t greedy when it came to passing all of their best genetics onto Advocate.

We thought we really had something special in this male and when the judges agreed in the Spring of 2004 by awarding him 3 championships in 3 of the largest, most prestigious shows in the country our thoughts were confirmed. This guy is incredible! Advocate then returned to the ring in the Fall of 2004 sporting his newest fleece and won another Color Champion at the New England Costal Classic. He sure is consistent, in more ways than one.

Advocate is amazingly well put together, perfectly balanced, very straight, big bone, and correct bite. All of the above make Advocate special but it is his fiber that makes him exemplary. Very long Staple, density, soft handle, big time crimp and blinding brightness. He really stands out in a crowd, he is very hard to miss! In fact the Skinner’s write in their description of Lot #3 for their 2005 Auction “The 2004 All American Futurity was the best black male round up at one show we have ever witnessed in the US” and it was Advocate the was determined to be the best of the best at that show winning Black Male Color Champion. A feat that we are most proud of.
