Many years ago
we bought a number of alpacas from Connecticut Alpaca and
Tree Farm and we bought each for a specific reason. We
purchased Folklore’s Dam, Madeline, because she was an
Incaaccoyo Star Daughter. There are very few Full Accoyo
males in this country that we are enamored with but he is
one of them. I-Star is a spectacular male that makes equally
impressive babies and we wanted that bloodline in our herd.
We bred Madeline to Dreamer when we got her home and the
next year Folklore was the result. Since we had a daughter
we sold Madeline to our friends at Patchwork Meadow Alpacas
and added Folklore to our breeding program. She has always
had a very grey muzzle so we bred her to Silver Celebration
last year and her 08 baby is a medium fawn female with a
white blaze. She is spectacular in every way so now again we
can release mom to keep the baby. When we sold Madeline the
Caston’s had chosen to breed her to Armando and the result
for them was an incredible male in 07 so we chose to try
that with Folklore so now she is bred for a 2009 cria out of
Armando, I think this combination will result in an
incredible production in 09. Folklore sells with a free
rebreed to a Hilltop male of the buyers choice for 2009.
